Like any successful company, the foundation of Great Lakes Castings is our people. With more than 250 employees reflecting the solid, traditional values of our western Michigan community, GLC maintains a stable, committed, experienced team that's dedicated to producing top quality gray iron casting products for our customers year after year. Training and continuing education are top priorities at Great Lakes Castings, and are indicative of the investments we make in the people responsible for our success. A “team management” approach is instrumental in empowering our work force to achieve our company's goals.

Today, we enjoy a higher level of productivity than ever before and are proud to have earned ISO-TS16949: 2009 certification. Our employees' strong work ethic and top management's support of the needs of our employees is a winning combination.

United Way

On, February 17, 2011, the United Way of Mason County presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Great Lakes Castings in acknowledgement of our Outstanding Performance during the 2010 Employee Campaign for the Largest Percentage Increase in Giving (with 50 or more employees) with a 60% increase of employees giving. Evan Mattison

Evan Mattison was recently recognized for his achievements with the Northwest Michigan Council of Government Michigan Works! Program. Great Lakes Castings was also recognized as business partner for providing employement opportunities to the Michigan Works! Alumni and for our committment in advancing workforce development in Michigan.

Meet Ludington's Austin McCarthy, the nephew of one of our employees at Great Lakes Castings. Austin was recently named Sports Illustrated Kids' 2009 Sports Kid of the Year!
